About
I'm Giacomo — most people call me Gorge. By day I'm a test engineer working on semiconductor test programs. The rest of the time I'm a maker who's never managed to stick to one subject.
gorgelandia is where I keep notes on all of it: circuits and cordials, telescopes and topsoil. I write things down mostly so I don't have to solve the same problem twice — the blog is the running log, and Projects gathers the longer threads.
How I tend to work
- 01Prefer hardware that's easy to repair over hardware that's nice to build.
- 02Write it down while it's still annoying, not after.
- 03If the slower path is the correct one, take the slow path.
- 04Buy the used test gear — it was built to last.
